Greetonomy is a taxonomy of greetings. Originally, as a thought experiment, we cataloged the various ways people said “hello” to one another in an office setting. Believe you me… there are many!
It evolved into a project write up, and illustrate, the various greetings people utilize with one another. Inherent to each is a loose social science, or a quick guess at the psychology of ‘what’s going on.’
Greetonomy is a place to feed your right inner-nerd. Join us, if you will, in pondering the various ways that we humans ‘say hi’ and get in touch if something is missing.
