Boys & Girls Clubs are deeply physical spaces with layouts that span generations. Clubs almost ubiquitously have check-in desks, games rooms with table tennis and four square, gyms, learning centers and computing labs. Digital is often relegated to learning centers and computing labs – that is, thought of as a separate part of the visitor experience.
Digital Youth Engagement initiatives sought to energize and modernize what it meant to be a visitor to a Boys & Girls Club. This work included conceptual modeling of what a visitor experience could and should be, developing conceptual models for digital visitor experience, prototypes of digital signage that linked up to systems like MyFuture and implementation of core technologies.
