In March, 2020, several thousand Boys & Girls Clubs closed their doors due to the COVID threat. Immediately, Clubs were equipped with high-quality tools and practices to reopen their doors in a virtual format. Substantial challenges had to be overcome to extend the value proposition to match families’ needs, due in particular to the in-person nature of prior Boys & Girls Clubs’ experiences.
Approaches to business modeling, positive youth engagement practices and other resources, including legal and practical resources, have been collected on the Virtual Club Planning Tool.
